I just read the profile of Emmanuel Dagher, the young author of this inspiring quote. It chronicles his courageous journey growing up in wartorn Lebanon and coming out on the other side with the mission to not only raise consciousness on the planet but to help others heal and become their best selves.
My own journey has been much less dramatic and yet for me personally, just as important, and the same is true of yours. Since the age of 3, I was in touch with my authentic and loving self in the cocoon of my immediate family of Dad, Mom, my brother, and a large extended family, both of which showed love, humor, and faith in spite of life’s hardships.
My authentic self first got rocked when I started school, going to three different schools. I had insecurity for the first time which peaked in high school and continued into later life.
What I gradually have realized was that my indomitable spirit connected to my authentic and loving self kept breaking through, nurtured by great support and friendships which last today, my loving family, work with incredible clients and fellow staff, loving pets across the lifespan, my husband, stepchildren, grandbabies, and my personal faith. All this has helped me find purpose in healing myself and help others heal in body, mind, soul, and spirit.
How do YOU show and share your loving, authentic, and magical self and what helps you do this?!
Blessings,
Carolyn Q.
