I decided to attend Caroline’s workshop on De-stressing as I had recently retired from nursing and found the change to be very stressful. I felt I no longer knew exactly who I was. I had no idea what the workshop would be like but as soon as I arrived my stress level went down as I was welcomed with relaxing music and lit candles and a beautiful place to sit and chat and wonderful food provided by the host. I was surrounded by people many of whom I did not know but who I felt very close to by the end of the workshop. It was distressing just to find out that everyone else had things going on in their life and I wasn’t the only person feeling a little crazy. Having this support and friendliness, smiles and some supportive touches started to make me feel less burdened and much more hopeful. Caroline our facilitator was wonderful especially since she was willing to go off-topic and let the group discussion go will be attending Caroline’s next workshop as the first one had such a positive impact on me and I felt so uplifted and hopeful again! I really can’t wait for the next one!
I have been a client of Carolyn Quinn for over 10 years. Depending on the massage treatment, a day or two recovery time may be needed before one can feel the knotted muscles have been untied. In my case, relief is usually felt right after a massage session. Got knots? – Get Carolyn.
I have been going to Carolyn for bodywork for almost 30 years. Carolyn uses many different techniques to loosen up my body and get rid of all the knots in my muscles. Needless to say, I am satisfied! The work Carolyn has done on me over the years has enabled me to do everything that I need to do – work, family, etc.
I had no expectations of a workshop Carolyn was facilitating on stress and how to reduce it or whether it was going to be valuable for me. Was it ever invaluable! I soon discovered what stress was, how it manifested in my life and various methods to control the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of it. Carolyn started the program with discussion to help us identify and feel comfortable about what made us feel stressed and anxious. We soon began a journey determining causes and effects. We participated in discussion, read from handouts Carolyn had for us, danced, talked, laughed and performed Tai Chi exercises. I think that Carolyn’s unique, open, caring and nonjudgmental approach to life helped us to open up our minds, listen and share our ideas. I think I walked away feeling more confident in identifying stress obstacles in my life. Carolyn is a true facilitator and really guided our class to accomplish an understanding we may not have ever considered.
Carolyn has been my body work therapist extraordinaire for more than 25 years. I have fibromyalgia; she often recognizes areas needing special attention before I do. She checks in with me frequently for feedback on how I’m doing. Her multidisciplinary background makes her exceptionally adept at sensing what is needed for each area.
There are no words to express the deep gratitude we hold toward our wedding officiant, Carolyn Quinn. With me having almost been killed in a car accident a month prior to our ceremony, and experiencing multiple life-threatening injuries, Carolyn was able to nurture the calmness and spiritual focus needed to walk down the aisle, shining with beauty, neck brace included. It was a ceremony of love, gratitude towards each day of life, and deep human connection.
Carolyn is compassionate, perceptive and supportive, with access to many resources, and gives insightful, down-to-earth guidance to help through difficult times. I now schedule yearly “tune-ups” that are invaluable.
Exceptional is the first word that comes to mind when thinking of how caring, loving, and respectful Carolyn was when handling our father’s memorial service. In 2018 we lost our dad suddenly which was a great loss to all of us. Carolyn came to our home and patiently helped us sort through all the details to ensure everything was carried out just the way we wanted. Carolyn managed to make a very sad time an uplifting experience for our family and close friends.
Revisiting the basics of stress and how everyday life affects me individually, helped me to identify the sources of my stress. I learned new ways to deal with my stress that were simple to apply in everyday life. I felt uplifted and renewed! I highly recommend this workshop.
I have known Carolyn since the early 90’s. Carolyn has a natural calming presence that has a way of soothing anyone she meets including our horses. She has a kind, caring manner and is extremely understanding. She listens and is present when you tell her what is going on with you. She acknowledges and has honest, positive feedback. In my opinion, she has an amazing gift for healing and energy work. Carolyn has worked on me, my daughters, my mom, and my horses. I have gone to her office, and she makes house calls and hospital calls. She visited my youngest daughter Bethany in the hospital when she was having pain issues after surgery to repair her injured hand. After just one session with Carolyn, Bethany was able to rest as it helped ease her pain. I have had numerous Reiki sessions from Carolyn to help me with my health issues. Every session has helped with energy, pain and mental health. She has helped get me back on my feet to where I’ve been able to enjoy a good quality of life. She has also been currently working with one of my horses who has a leg injury. She was swollen and was lame. Her sessions have helped with draining from her wound and reduced her swelling. My horse loves when Carolyn works on her. My horse doesn’t immediately like just anyone. So this within itself is awesome and I think her way of thanking her. My family and I are extremely thankful for having Carolyn in our lives. We thank her for helping us feel better(physically, mentally, & spiritually), showing us our own potential for healing and continual support.
I have worked with Carolyn Quinn from May 2014 through the present, using in-person coaching meetings as well as occasional phone appointments. Initially, I sought her guidance when going through a life transition when I wanted to find a more meaningful career. However, it turned out that I met someone with whom I began a serious relationship. My world changed when my partner received a stage 4 cancer diagnosis only a few months after I met him. Carolyn’s solid background as an oncology nurse and her experience in hospice work made her the best possible person to guide me through the particularly difficult and heartwrenching journey that lay ahead.
As a life coach, Carolyn offers the perfect combination of empathy and guidance, providing practical advice and “homework” to help reach mutually agreed-upon goals. With her help, I was able to muster the inner strength to handle the multitude of challenges — physical and emotional–to care for Dave through the end of his life. Carolyn was also a great resource for Dave as he dealt with the loss of abilities as he neared the end of life. Fortunately, I was able to create conditions to foster a beautiful and peaceful ending at home.
Carolyn helped me plan a simple, deeply personal memorial/celebration of life service after Dave passed that included testimony from his very closest friends. We had talked about this in advance, and I think Dave would have been pleased with the result.
In summary, Carolyn has a deep understanding of the complex processes we go through when dealing with the loss of any kind. She fostered insights and offered pragmatic, soulful strategies to help me deal with and transform my loss and grief in a way that helped me move forward. In no small part due to her encouragement and skill, and with the support of many good friends, I have relocated to the Western Slope of Colorado where I wanted to live for years. I have begun creating the life I dreamed of which includes art, hiking, biking, rafting, supporting community causes that I strongly believe in, and best of all, a loving relationship with the kindest man I have met in years.
Many thanks to Carolyn for helping me deal with the toughest challenges I have encountered to date, and for helping me grow as a human being. I highly recommend her as a life coach, particularly in situations dealing with life transitions and grief/loss.
